March 9, 2013: Along with Blue & Red Uncle's Quilt I’m making for my brother, I’m also making a quilt for my brother’s wife, which I am calling Auntie’s Quilt. Her favorite color is purple, which is the color I have the least of in my stash, so I’ve come up with a simple stash-busting pattern to make the most of what I’ve got.

March 11, 2013: Strip sets are done and cross-cut. Background fabric is cut.

March 12, 2013: Cross-cut strips are assembled and laid out for final top assembly.

March 14, 2013: Quilt is pinned. I take a break to work on some other projects, like the Orphan Block Quilted Dish Mats and cutting for Green & White Pinwheel Quilt and the Pinksplosion Checkered Nine-Patch Quilt.

March 18, 2013: Quilting!

March 22, 2013: The Purple Auntie's Quilt is finished and sent to my sister-in-law along with my brother’s Blue & Red Uncle's Quilt.
