Green & White Pinwheel Quilt Timeline
Started: March 16, 2013
Finished: November 7, 2015
March 16, 2013: Feeling strong about having finished a whole bunch of projects already this year, I decide to make my kids each a twin-sized bed quilt. Pinksplosion Checkered Nine-Patch Quilt for my daughter, and this green pinwheel for my son. I do all the math and cut all the parts all at once.
March 28, 2013: I make my first pinwheel as a test. It works!
June 9, 2014: All the half-square triangles are sewn together. Now I am trimming them and putting them in sets of four so I can make the pinwheel blocks.
August 24, 2014: The center part of the top is assembled.
August 25, 2014: The borders are on and the top is done!
December 2, 2014: I couldn’t bring myself to use up the gorgeous special-bought striped fabric on the backing where no one will see it, so I piece some random green and white solids instead. Quilt is ready for pinning!
October 7, 2015: I finally get the quilt pinned and start quilting.
November 24, 2015: The binding is machined onto the front and now is waiting to be hand-sewn on the back.
December 27, 2015: Still waiting.
March 23, 2016: The Green & White Pinwheel Quilt is done!
