Chevron Doll Quilt Timeline
Started: August 3, 2013
RE-Started: March 25, 2019
Finished: May 11, 2019
August 3, 2013: I haven’t made one of the doll quilts from the doll quilt-of-the-month club in a long time so I decide to tackle another one. This green and grey chevron catches my eye. I cut and assemble the top.
March 25, 2019: After sharing one of the doll quilts on Instagram, my friend Anna @domesticjoy mentions that she ALSO was a member of the club and ALSO hadn’t made any of the quilts, so we decide to challenge each other to get one done every other month. I am first, and I decide to finish off this chevron quilt since the top is already pieced and I should be able to get it done by the end of the month.
April 17, 2019: Naturally I don’t get it done. But I do cut it down to a slightly smaller size and decide to stich it with “big stich” hand quilting in perle cotton.
April 25, 2019: All the big-stitch hand quilting is done!
May 1, 2019: I square it up, machine on the binding and start hand-sewing it to the back.
May 11, 2019: Aaaand, the Chevron Doll Quilt is finished!
